When you take a picture that is below the quality you expected, there is a program called photoshop, which users can utilize to bring the picture up to the quality they expected. The only things needed are the picture and the Adobe Photoshop program.

First copy the picture of the image so that you aren’t working on the original picture. Use the crop tool to cut out excess background in the picture, and keep only what you want in it; you are basically making the picture the size you want it to be. Next, use the image rotate canvas option if the picture needs to be rotated. Is this new to you? Catch up here Next use automatic color adjustment features to make the picture better quality. You can also change the depth of the image, change the shadows, and highlights as well. Next users can adjust the toner level by changing the auto contrast of the picture.

Other features include using teh filter, sharpen, and un-sharp mask features, all which are found in the file menu. These features adjust the edge detail’s to create a more focused image. Now you can remove unwanted scratches or blemishes from the picture. All tools in photoshop will create a better quality picture.

When it comes to film making, your hardware is the most essential part of a solid production. A proper camera that can provide quality resolution means the difference between transporting the audience to a completely different time, era, mood, or location and a lackluster, cheesy production. When purchasing a camera several factors must be kept in mind.

First and foremost a budget must be established before your purchase. If you require a video camera with a large lens, one that performs best under low light conditions, you may need to spend about 1200. In order to achieve maximum audio quality a camera’s microphone is simply not sufficient. The cheapest video cameras with a mic-in jack cost about 500. This more or less an average starting point in terms of price for a movie-making video camera.

Another feature that should also be taken into consideration would be the method of storage. If you are looking to achieve the best quality video a MiniDV camera should be your primary focus. Other cameras that use DVD, hard drive, or flash memory tend to compress the video quality.

Overall, these are just some of the features you should look out for when buying a camera. But remember, the most important feature of a camera is the person using it!

Buying professional cameras is serious business so it’s important to take care of your tools when they’re not in use. Here are a few tips for keeping your camera and equipment safe:
Buy a great bag: Cameras and lenses can run into the thousands of dollars so take care not to just throw them in the back of your car or purse. Proper camera bags have extra padding and special pockets for each element of your collection so invest in a case to keep your camera safe.
Handle with care: It’s hard to resist the urge to snap the perfect shot when the moment hits but before you touch your camera be sure to wash your hands thoroughly. Any dirt or oil you may be carrying with you can get into all the cracks and crevices of your camera and shorten its lifespan.
Lock up tight: Be sure to keep your cameras in a safe place. If you can, invest in a safe for your home or look into prices for adt alarm systems in your area. It’s better safe than sorry when it comes to securing your valuables and cameras are often targeted as thieves know how much they’re worth.

Since the digital photography boom, the prices for high quality digital cameras with manual features, or what we call prosumer cameras, have decreased significantly. This has made it easier for amateur photographers, parents who want to take great photos of their family, and hobbyists to afford high quality D-SLRs.

Canon is one of the highest quality and best reviewed camera brands on the market, for both amateurs and professionals alike. For the average consumer or a photographer just starting out the Canon Rebel T2I offers superb manual controls in ISO (100-6400), aperture, and f-stop; while also offering automatic presets for those not quite ready to venture into the manual world. The T2I also shoots 18.1 megapixels on a DIGIC 4 Image Processor for intense quality photos. Finally, you can view those photos or 1080P video immediately on the 3.2 inch LCD preview screen.

Whether you are just starting out in photography, or want to capture important life milestones with ease but still maintain the quality — the Rebel T2I is an excellent choice. It has all the qualities of a professional camera body for a little less price. All Canon lenses attach with ease allowing you to expand whenever you are ready.

Getting into the photography business is not as difficult as it may sound. Like any business, the person needs to sit down and outline a plan of action, decide what equipment they will need and how to go about getting their business noticed by prospective customers. Among things that a person needs to take into consideration are financial and legal aspects, possible model releases if a model is going to be involved in any photos.
The first thing to decide on doing is what kind of photography the person wants to do. Will it be simply taking photos of nature, buildings, or possibly portrait photography?
There are two types of photography that are generally considered the first being assignment photography and the other being stock photography.
With assignment photography, a person is told what kind of photo that a client wants done for a specific purpose.
For stock photography, this involves taking photos that a person would consider being of interest to someone looking to buy photos.
Next comes deciding what type of camera equipment will be needed. There are many different types of cameras as well as the different types of photo film is used with them.
Freelance photography can be rewarding if it is done correctly.

When starting out taking your own pictures and dabbling in the world of photography there are many different things that you are going to want to do, to make sure that your pictures turn out as well as they possibly can. The first of things is going to be to always make sure that you have good lighting for your picture. Natural light is great but sometimes it can be too much, and when this happens you will want to diffuse the light. This is easy to do just by placing a tissue or piece of tissue paper over the flash of your camera.

Diffusing the light is also going to eliminate shadows in the picture, and it is easy to get shadows when you are taking portraits in flash light areas. You must also know that when you you want to zoom in on an object be sure to use the optical zoom instead of the digital zoom. The digital zoom is going to alter the resolution of your pictures and you may have troubles printing, along with poor quality photos. These are just a few tips that you can use to be sure that you are taking the best pictures possible.

Though the name Polaroid may take you back to fond memories, shaking photos as you wait for the ink to develop, the company has taken the input of an unlikely co-conspirator/creative director, in the form of pop sensation Lady Gaga, to bring its newest line of products into the future, and beyond. Polaroid’s Grey Label, a line of digital, still centers around the company’s time tested promise of delivering photos instantly and easily for all to say. Only in their newest releases, Polaroid has dared to reach new heights in both innovation and imagination. While yes, most cameras on today’s market allow users to see photos as soon as they’re taken, Polaroid still boasts an advantage their camera making counterparts fail to address, instant printing. Here’s a quick look at the Grey Line products, all to be made available for purchase within the year:

GL10 The GL10 serves as a mobile printer, connecting your mobile phone or digital camera so that pictures can be printed then and there, in under 60 seconds.

GL20 Let your glasses tell the world quite literally what you’ve seen. This fashionable pair of frames features a built in camera and LCD display screens to broadcast your instant memories to the friends and passersby.

GL30 For those who prefer the traditional Polaroid spirit of a camera and printer all within the same device, the GL20 blends the two functions seamlessly. The GL30 also allows you to add customizations to your photo before the printing process is underway, with a selection of finishing options to shape your photo to a final physical product of your desire.

All three camera’s boast the sleek design and unique styling in the image of Gaga’s personal flair for the futuristic, but don’t worry, consisting of basic black and metallic elements, the look isn’t so far-fetched as to turn off the more casual consumer (well, except the glasses).

In the world of digital compact cameras, few if any brands have the instant hype of Nikon’s Coolpix series. The question remains however, if Coolpix cameras are popular as a result of the celebrity endorsement with which they are so commonly associated vs. the camera itself. Ashton Kutcher serves as the official spokesperson for the series, which caters to young individuals with active social lives, appearing in numerous commercials for specific releases within the Coolpix product line.Coolpix main advantage may lie in its seemingly endless variety of user-friendly camera options. Earlier this fall, Nikon chose to add 3 new cameras, the Coolpix S80, the Coolpix P7000 and the Coolpix S8100, all of which contain unique features to segment different young adult markets. The S80 is small enough to fit conveniently in a purse or pocket, complete with 14.1 megapixels and 5x optical zoom. The camera’s video mode also allows for HDMI output, meaning video can be played back in HD assuming a TV is fitted with HD capability. The P7000 is a more advanced device, with a 7.1x optical zoom and 10.1 megapixels on a wide angle lens. Perhaps the P7000s specialty however is capturing high quality images in the difficult to adapt to low light setting. This is particularly appealing to the market in question, as most photo ops occur after hours, at least according to the Coolpix ad strategy. Still, this camera is more fully functional for the left-brained consumer, more conducive to still photography than day-to-day scrapbook documentation.Like the P7000, the S8100 also specializes in low lighting photography, with an emphasis in speed. With an S8100, users can take 5 consecutive rapid speed pictures at 10 fps. The S8100 also offers HDMI output and HD video recording. The S8100 is a 12.1 megapixel camera, multifunctional enough for artists and practical enough for socialites.

Though portable cameras may never be truly obsolete, common consumer cameras are slowly being bundled with phone and music options as smartphones reach new heights of overwhelming intelligence. With increasingly impressive megapixel performances now a complementary feature of many popular phone models, some amateur photographers choose to axe the digital camera, thanks to the decreasing performance gap. Here’s a brief look at some of the more popular smartphones out there and their standard camera capabilities.iPhone The iPhone, like much of its overall appeal, features a very easy to use camera. Though this does allow for many users to take advantage of the camera function without issue, it doesn’t allow for complete control or customizability as seen in other phones. For those who simply want to take clear pictures at the push of a button, the iPhone is among the best bets on the market. At 5 megapixels, the quality won’t blow you away but it’s still up to par with many comparable phones.HTC Droid Incredible Fully equipped with 8 megapixels, you won’t find superior photo quality when buying a phone. Phone users who fancy themselves as more advanced photo enthusiasts will also appreciate a laundry list of customizable settings and options typically reserved for sans-phone cameras.Droid X Also at 8 megapixels, more so than any other phone, perhaps the Droid X looks most like a full blown camera. With a 4 inch display, shutter button, additional surface area and heavier feel, don’t be surprised to hear it referred to as a phone-camera rather than camera-phone.Blackberry Torch A lot like the iPhone in terms of sheer capability, the Torch doesn’t benefit from such a simple interface, which can be viewed as either a win for users demanding more functionality or a loss for those who are easier confused by unnecessary hoops to jump through.
